Dr. Calvi received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2014. She is a Research Scientist in the UNL Salivary Bioscience Laboratory (UNL SBL), which is affiliated with the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior, and the Nebraska Athletic Performance Laboratory. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the UNL SBL, including taking responsibility for all salivary assay analyses. Dr. Calvi also provides training in saliva collection methods, and she consults and collaborates with academic researchers on research design, IRB protocols, and grant preparation specific to salivary bioscience.

Research Interests
Empathy, interpersonal relationships, and social behaviors in the developmental context with an emphasis on hormonal responses to social stressors
